ParticipantI understand what you are going through. But, I haven’t told my parents yet, because I know what the outcome will be and it wont be pretty. You have already told your Mom and you know how she feels. You are lucky to have that already. Your boyfriend said that he would be there for you. My boyfriend is very supportive, but can’t be here for me due to extenuating circumstances. So, you also have that going for you too! You have to put yourself and the baby first. You will not be ruining your moms life or your boyfriend. It is YOUR life and you make the decision. No one should have the deciding factor to this, “your” choice. Plus, you can still attend college, I happen to know a few girls that are able to attend and are 8 months pregnant. And you can also get grants for childcare after the baby is born, if that is what you decide to do.
You have to remember that you may feel things aren’t going right for you, but there are people out there that are much worse off. You already have so many things, that I do not, and you should be thankful for them. Most importantly, don’t make your decision on what people around you are saying, you have to make the choice yourself. You know what is right for you, and you are 18, which means you are an adult, so you know in your heart what is best.
Good luck. And best wishes.RaElMa
ParticipantHey,
You should probably talk to your doctor at your next visit. My doctor told me to stay away from “excessive heat”, and your body heat plus your partners can just be over heating you. Which in turns makes you black out or faint. Maybe, you could keep a fan on, open a window, drink some orange juice quick after, or even some water. Lol. You should also be drinking alot of water. If you don’t consume enough H20 then you are more likely to faint, because your body is dehydrated.
And you should ask your DR if its normal or not. That is the best advice I can give you, when it doubt…as the doctor.RaElMa
ParticipantHey,
I was also on BC since I was 15 (I am 20 now) and I got off, thinking the same thoughts as you, I figured that I couldn’t get pregnant right away since I was on it for so many years. Come to find out BC leaves your system within 36 hours (my OBGYN/Baby lady 😉 gave me all the info) and you can get pregnant within the first month!
So, with that said you should take an HPT test. But, it could also be that your period is going back to its normal cycle and getting back into the swing of things with your body, if that makes sense. Basically, you can end up getting different menstrual symptoms after getting off of BC, thats what happened to me. But, if you are going to stay off of BC and don’t want a baby, use protection. Because 2 months of being off of BC and I am now 12 weeks pregnant with my first child!! 🙂Good luck to you!
