ParticipantYes Steve,
It’s better to consult with the doctor for getting the correct suggestion. As far as my knowledge, it might not put any effect on the baby, unless it’s not very serious. But to be on a safer side consult a gynecologist. Because pregnancy is a serious decision of life.

ParticipantIt’s very sad. Your boyfriend shouldn’t have done this to you. It’s his responsibility as well. But now, you need to decide on whether you want to give birth to the child or not. As far as your career is concerned, there are lot of things you can do comfortably and take care of the child as well. I believe you are having science background. So I would suggest to go for some online degree in any health technician programs. Online course won’t put much stress on you, and such courses take only a maximum of 2 years for completion. Choose a college which has grants scheme, that will take care of your cost of studies as well. I found a site on web http://ultrasoundtechschool.org/ultrasound-tech-college-grants-2/ which has list of some such colleges. This would help you in continuing your studies and would also help in taking care of the new born as well. As soon as you finish your studies you can easily get a job, as health technicians, mostly ultrasound technicians are in demand nowadays.

ParticipantDuring pregnancy it’s very necessary to eat well. It should make sure to have a healthy diet during pregnancy. You should have more vitamins and minerals, especially folic acid and iron. Calories intake during pregnancy is also necessary as well. Getting your diet right for pregnancy is more about the quality and quantity both. Limit junk food intake, as it has lots of calories with with very little nutrients. http://www.nap.edu/openbook.php?record_id=12584&page=1Has lot of info, which may help you recognizing the perfect diet.

ParticipantI agree with you. Once the baby will be in the Dad’s hand, he will forget everything. He will become equally caring as you and love the child also. May be now he’s bit confused about what he wants to do, and stressed out of family problems. But gradually everything will become alright.

ParticipantHave you discussed about this with your partner. I would suggest that before having a hysterectomy, it is important to discuss other possible treatments with your doctor. Because a hysterectomy will stop your periods, and you will no longer be able to get pregnant in future. And if the surgery removes both ovaries, you will enter menopause. Hence this is a crucial decision which shouldn’t be taken in a hurry under any stress. Give time to yourself and go for a complete treatment.
