Radical change came in the '60's and '70's. These decades saw many, many, good changes—the Civil Rights movement, for one, which gave dignity and equality to black Americans. As for sexuality and relationships, perhaps some fresh air needed to be let into the bedroom, where, in the "I Love Lucy" show, Lucy and Ricki slept in different beds. He says he loves you? What's to stop him from taking your special gift and dumping you? What's to prove to you that he loves you and not just your body? Nothing. Guys have honey soaked tongues, they'll swear on the stars and heavens that they worship you and tomorrow you'll find them worshiping the girl next door! 
While definitely not an authority on men, like you, I am looking in the daytime with a flashlight for a good one. I’ll admit it, I am single, and would not mind finding a quality guy, but at the same time, I’m picky. Not just any man is up to my standards, and there are qualifications he has to meet. For me, I would rather not date at all than go out with a loser. Why waste my time and effort on someone who is not worth it, just to be able to say, “I was on a date this Friday.” Some women derive satisfaction from being able to say this. It boosts their self esteem when they are asked out my multiple men, but not me. I will take one good one over a whole pile of losers.
You kinda have to feel sorry for the guys sometimes, because they have so much to live up to with the whole “Prince Charming” thing, you need to have realistic expectations for any relationship you get into. Here’s something you have to remember- Guys are clueless! Maybe not all the time, but sometimes, they don’t understand why it’s important to remember certain dates or why it ticks us off when they go off somewhere with boys and why we don’t just sit down and watch the game with them instead of pouting that they aren’t listening to us.
Hey — I’ve just finished reading an article on Planned Parenthood’s roots. Like many of the young people today I wasn’t very interested in what happened in the 1920’s; unless it was in a super romantic movie about some soldier and his love separated because of a war or something
Women were not designed to be alone, we were designed to love and be loved. It gives us drive and purpose in life.
