Well how old are you Kaitlin? Can you see from your mother’s point of view why she wants you to be on birth control?
Have you really thought through the consequences of having a baby, and are you really ready to deliberately try to get pregnant?
Could you provide a stable environment, both emotionally, physically and fiscally, for a child? Is your partner willing to stay with you for 18 years whilst you bring a child up together? Would you be willing to continue in your studies after giving birth and would you be able to balance looking after a child, continuing with schooling and somehow providing enough money to care for the child?

Sorry that there are so many questions, I just really think you should consider how hard it can be before you decide to deliberately start trying for a baby.
I am not saying that it isn’t rewarding, because it is, and I love my daughter very much, but I would be lying if I didn’t tell you that sometimes it has been so hard, even with my partner standing by me.

Take a test chick, it’s the only way you’ll know for sure. I had very light periods for the first few months when I was expecting my daughter. It wasn’t until I was about 16 weeks that they stopped.
