My Story of being Pregnant at 15

I got pregnant at 15 with my almost a year-long relationship with my first love.

I was missing my period, but I didn’t think I was pregnant because I had a thyroid disease and I missed my period a lot. So when I started to feel sick and getting somewhat bigger, I took two tests to be sure and it was positive. When I went to the doctor, I found out I was 3 months along. I wasn’t the one who told my parents. My sister told them for me. Everyone looked at me like I was a huge disappointment and I cried. I was the last one of my sisters that my parents thought would get pregnant and I happened to be the second.

My daughter’s father came over and told me and my parents that he planned to be there for me and the baby. He was going to join the army and everything. New Year’s, he asked me to marry him and I said yes. 10 minutes later, I found him on top of another girl. I beat the hell out of him in the hallway and his dad took me home. We broke up. I went to all of my appointments alone until my friend came with me. My mom and my other sister found out they were pregnant too. We went through it all together almost. I went in at 7 am to get induced July 13 and I got the epidural and when I reached 7 centimeters, she tilted her head. My doctor came in and told me I need to go into an emergency C-section. So they wheeled me off. My mother came with me and held my hand until I fell asleep. And I woke up in the recovery room. I kept asking where is my baby, where is my baby? Then asked where my mom was. When I got to my room, my former boyfriend held my hand so tight, thanking God I was okay.

He cried a little when he held Natalie Ann in his arms. I was so out of it that when I held her, I was crying frantically. Then out of nowhere, I feel asleep. I woke up and only five people where left; my ex, my parents, my little sister, and my friend. I spent 3 days after that in the hospital. He went to jail a day before I got out. I bailed him out 3 days after I got out of the hospital and he went back to his girlfriend and didn’t give me a second look. Until one day when he was picking Natalie up for the first time in 3 months. He asked if we could hang out sometime, the 3 of us. We got back together and have been since. We are going to get married. I’m not sure when yet, but I can’t wait. It’s going to be great. He gets out of jail July 4th. Me and Natalie are so excited to see him again.

Natalie is going to be two in a few weeks. I graduate from high school August 4th and then into college I go.

Became pregnant at 15

Well, I became pregnant at 15 and I was so scared. I can’t even explain it.

I didn’t tell my parents. My sister did. They said, “Well, we can’t do anything bout it now you’re pregnant and abortion is out of the question.” All my life, I have been against abortion and at that time, I thought maybe I should do it. But when it came down to deciding, I chose to have her. Her dad cheated on me on our two-year anniversary so we were over. Then I found out she was a girl! I wanted the middle name to be Ann so I tried to find the name to go with it, her dad wanted Patricia Ann, but I couldn’t do it. I don’t really like them together. So I looked in a baby name book and found Natalie and I fell in love with it and so did he. I was induced July 13 and I had to go into an emergency C-section. They put me to sleep. I woke up and went to my room and found my beautiful 9lbs. 2 oz baby girl Natalie Ann. I love her so much. She was colic and a handful but I was able to deal with it. She is turning 2 years old next month and I’m beyond excited. Recently, I was doing a paper on teen pregnancy and found so many negative statistics. I have been trying to find websites that helped teen parents and I was about to give up and make my own when I found this one. It’s really great to see people helping each other.

Soon I will be out of high school (August 4th) and going to college to be a paralegal. My daughter has helped me grow up to be a mature person. It’s really great.
