Hi everyone! I am new here. My name is Amy. Anyway , we have been trying to conceive since Oct. However I have not had a period since January. During the last 3 to 4 weeks pregnancy symptoms have increased but 1 home test and 2 dr office tests (all urine) have been negative. What are the odds of the tests just not showing up or my just my symptoms being all in my head? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Its possible that even though you havent had a cycle since January, you are only a few weeks pregnant. What symptoms are you having? There are other medical causes for some symptoms, as well as your missed periods. I hope this helps. Let me know what you find.

Your mind is a very powerful thing! There have been case studies where women who wanted to conceive so badly and constantly thought about pregnancy that their bodies started to act pregnant even though no child was present. They would have all the symptoms from loss of periods to even lactating and stomac swelling. Now you need to get your cycle back so you can get pregnant. I’m pretty sure you know that rapid weight gain or loss can hault your menstrual cycle as well as STRESS!!! I pretty sure you are extremely stressed out from trying to conceive, so you need to calm down and stop thinking about being pregnant all the time and ask your doctor if there is anything else you can do to jump start your cycle 🙂
Best of Luck to You Amy
Love, Falon :cheer:May 27, 2005 at 3:04 am #8073AnonymousHi Amy, I think I’m in the same boat as you. My last period was in March and since April, every test I’ve taken has been negative. I feel some symptoms but I still don’t know and it just so stressfull not knowing. I have a dr’s appt on Friday and hopefully he’ll let me know what’s going on. Sometimes I just think it’s in my head because my husband really wants a baby and I really don’t think about getting pregnant that much seeing that I already have 2from my previous marriage.
Go see the doctor and rule it out so you’ll feel better.
