My last post was on the topic of abortion and my confusion of what to do.

My boyfriend and I have decided that we are going to keep our baby as we aren’t selfish and murderous enough to terminate the pregnancy.

But now that we have decided, what happens next?

Also, I might start to get a bit embarrassed about being pregnant and having a bump as I know people will judge me being 17 and pregnant. Any advice?

Hey you, I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS!!, I am so proud of you for Standing Up, well next step would be to find a doctor, if you know anyone who has had kids you can ask around and find out who they think is the greatest OB/GYN, also you could go to the hospital where you plan to give birth and ask the nurses in the labor and delivery section which doctor they like to work with best, you could also just look in the phone book under OB/GYN doctors and call and or pick one at random, once you have a doctor set up you will have your first appointment where they will confirm your pregnancy, take your blood and urine and ask you a million questions about your family history and things like that for your health concerns during pregnancy…also if you need medical then you can look in the government pages of your phone book for adult and family services and call them to look into getting state medical, go ahead and call this number, 1-800-395-HELP, it is OPTIONLINE, they can give you the number and location to the closest pregnancy resource center to you where they will have tons of local info and resources for you, if you have any other specific questions we are all here for you on SUG, you have done the right thing, you will never regret being a mommy, even on the hard days you will have the reward of a little smile from your bundle!! Let me know if you need anything else…Love Meg
