How do I contain my excitment? I am so excited, not just to find out the sex of the baby (I know there is a chance I might not be able to) but just to see how my baby has grown! How did you cope with the excitement and what did you do to pass the time until the appointment?
Also, my boyfriend is away working and won’t be back until the 3rd of October, and only for a weekend then. Then he goes back out and doesn’t come back until the day of my ultrasound.
Is this a good idea to share gender:
I’m going to put a picture of the ultrasound in a fram (pink for girl and blue for boy) that have “I’m on my way” written on them and give them to the grandparents in a bag of the opposite colour. I don’t want them to guess from the colour of the bag so if it’s a girl I will put it in a blue bag and if it’s a girl I will put it in a pink bag. What do you think?:)

I think that is a very cute idea…..with the bags and the picture frames. Unfortunately with pregnancy the whole thing is a waiting game. I too was very excited but somehow the day came and went and now it’s 6 years later. Enjoy every moment because it will all go by very fast. Good luck. Jessica

Haha… that’s such a cute idea! I wish I would have thought of that.

The day we found out my little man’s gender we all went to Babies R Us for a shopping spree! We bought a baby book to put all his photos in… and then my boyfriend’s mom gave me all of the stuff of his that she saved for his first son. 🙂 I felt so accepted at that point…

But the excitment was HARD to deal with! Just focus your time on schoolwork, work, etc. and do stuff to pass the time- like pick out names, cribs, neutral clothes(for now), etc! Create a baby registry! Great way to pass the time.

We had NO problem seeing the gender with our guy… haha. My boyfriend was all proud because the baby was not shy at all! :silly:
