Hello everyone, here is the official story…I went to the hospital on Friday the 27th at 6:30 pm. I was already having regular contractions due to my exam a few hours earlier and they hooked me up to the monitors. Tabitha’s heart rate plummeted 2 times in 20 minutes and the Dr called and told the nurses to prep me for a c-section. My nurse happened to be a friend from church and she stood up for me and told the Dr to give me a chance to see if my body would do what it was supposed to do…well we had some friends in the room with us when all of this was going on and we started praying that I would not have to have a c-section, during our prayer time my body naturally had 3 contractions in 10 minutes and Tabitha’s heart rate stayed fine so he said I had bought myself some time but that he still may have to do a c-section. At almost 10 pm they gave me a cervix ripener called cervadil, the purpose was to get my cervix soft and ready to dilate so that they could induce me in the morning, well I was up all night with painful contractions and by 5 am I was asking for some pain relief, they gave me some morphine and I threw up a bunch..LOL… they went to remove the cervadil at 8:30 am and I was at a 4, my pain went from bad to unbearable and I could feel the head moving down into my birth canal with every contraction, I kept saying "Why do my contractions hurt so bad when my water has not broken yet" it got intense really fast and they gave me some pain meds to hold me over for the epidural, they gave me the initial dose of medicine in my spine and it was instant relief but I could still feel the head moving down really fast, the nurse went to check me again and the head was right there, I went from a 4 to a fully delivered baby in 1 hour and 38 minutes, I only had to push like 8 times, she came out and gave her first cry and the Dr put her on my chest and she stopped breathing and turned purple, they took her over to the table with the baby warmer and they began giving her oxygen and trying to get her to breathe and cry…she laid there limp and she looked dead and it was really scary but after about a half hour she came to and began doing fine, she bombed her initial apgar tests but then did well so she is in the clear and appears to us and the doctors as perfectly fine, I stayed in the hospital until this morning (Tuesday) I had my tubes tied yesterday but besides the pain from that I don’t even feel like I had a baby, I am feeling really good and all of the preeclampsia ailments are gone except for the high blood pressure, I have to take medicine for the next two weeks for it…so anyways thank you all for praying for me and my family, my little girl turned out fine against the odds and we are so blessed, I will get more pictures up ASAP…Love Meg

                  Woohoo she is fine.
Thank goodness you have a friend there and you got to deliver naturally without the c-section.
