Hey Ladies, Recently my family has gone through some financial difficulty, we are a family of 6, I want to proudly share that I have fed and supplied my family of 6 on less than $200 a month since last month and I am doing it again this month….I wanted to share a few things I learned to help pinch pennies yet still take care of business…First I made my own laundry soap, it was SOOO easy, it cost me about 15 dollars and I have enough soap for roughly 7+ months….Here is the recipe, 2 Cups Borax, 2 Cups Washing Soda, 1 Cup Oxyclean and 1 Bar of finely grated Fels Naptha Soap (all of these ingredients are found in the same aisle as the laundry soap), it is all natural, it has gotten my clothes soooo clean, my whites WHITE my colors BRIGHT and they smell great….I have a few friends who are doing cloth diapers also, they use this soap minus the bar soap to wash them….They are not the old complicated folded safety pin kind, the cloth diapers today are really nice and very easy and simple to use and clean, they are a one time expense and can save a LOT of money….then last but not least I wanted to share about the Diva Cup, It is a surgical grade silicon cup that you use in place of a tampon, there is no risk for toxic shock, no more expense of tampons, you can leave them in for 12 hrs at a time, you are saving money and taking better care of your body at the same time, I just started my cycle and am using my Diva Cup for the first time, it is AWESOME….So anyways, I wanted to share that it is possible to live well on a very tight budget and that there are some practical things we can do to take better care of ourselves and our finances at the same time, if anyone has questions go ahead and email me, I would love to point you in the right direction to help save some money, spend it where it matters most, the memories!
