Ok you need to go buy another test. They have them where you can buy two together. take one totaoy and take the other next week. if they both say thjat you are then go to an doctors office andd get one. untill then relax. and think about what you are going to do if you are. I hope this helps you in same way. goodluck.

Jaja, if there was a second blue line, even if it was faint – it sounds like you might be pregnant. I would take another home pregnancy test in the next few days – First Response worked best for me. If the results are unclear again you might contact the doctor and have a blood test done. It can detect smaller levels of the HCG hormone. Best wishes. Kate

You need to realize that you are having a lot of early pregnancy symptoms. If you look at the instructions on the digital pregnancy test it would say to disregard any lines on the test stick and only to go by what the digital read-out. (My digital said I was pregnant and there were also two lines, so I’m not sure what to say about that.) Anyway, most tests say that you can take them the day of or the day after your missed period but other ones like First Response can be used up to five days before your missed period. I would get one of those tests (they detect less of the pregnancy hormone.) And let us know what you find out. Good luck!

Ok, well, you should wait until about 5 days after your missed period to get an accurate result on a pregnancy test. I waited until 2 weeks after I missed my period because I figured it was late just because of stress, which can happen. As for the nausea, headaches, cramping, and backaches – all of this could be in your head. A lot of women can be late on their periods even if they have normal cycles. Try to relax and not psych yourself out. I’d suggest taking a Clear Blue digital read out test. They come with two in a box and they are the most accurate. If that test is negative, then wait another week and see if your period comes. But definitely don’t get yourself too worried over it because it could be a bunch of different things. However, you should sustain from smoking, drinking or anything else you do that could harm the baby – if there is one. The first few weeks of life are crutial. Good luck!

                  Hi,

Try not to worry, I have been in the same position and I understand. If you can, try to go to a doctor’s office to get a urine test. Definately go to someone with who you can talk openly and freely to, who will not try to force a decision on you, and who will respect your privacy. If this is not an option, some hospitals offer free or really inexpensive testing.

I had no insurance, so I could Not go to a private doctor for my test. Instead I went to a clinic with reduced fees where I had a urine sample done, which was very inexpensive. Some hospitals too offer really inexpensive or free testing, call or stop by and ask if you can. However, this clinic gave me a number to call if I wanted to speak to a someone depending on the results. I called and they immediately began to pressure me about a decision after asking me some questions about my demographics. This is Not good. I never went back to that clinic again. You should not feel any pressure whatsoever. I felt really vulnerable and they take full advantage of this.

If these options are not available to you, then just wait another week and retry another home urine test. Try for something more traditional, like the kits that give line responses; sometimes the digital kits do not give accurate results.
Above all try to stay calm and not worry…you will be ok no matter the result.

Ok, you could still be pregnant… with the digital test… the lines on the stick dont matter, and your hormone level has to be a lot higher than the other tests. You need to take a regulat test. I recommend the First Response early result pregnancy test, or have you thought about going to your local pregnancy center, they have free tests and they are the same ones that doctors use. Email me if you have any other question… I am a midwife (I deliver babies). Good Luck.

                          Hi
You can take a pregnancy test and should get an accurate result the day AFTER your missed period. They say you can have false negative tests but not false positive tests. So if it says your pregnant you more then likely are. Go see a doctor if that is the case.
** don’t be afraid either okay. I was pregnant when I was 17 years old and now have a 1 year and 4 month old baby who I would not trade for anything in this world. Not a mistake, a gift.

                                Hi there:

You can call Birthright any time, day or night on their hotline number, and talk to someone who can help you with most anything you’ve got on your mind:

                                1-800-550-4900

They can talk with you about your symptoms, when you most likely ovulated, when you might have conceived, etc. If you visit a chapter (they’re all over the US and even international) you can have a free pregnancy test, confidential, to take some time out and talk about what you want to do, if it is positive or negative…. They are not judgmental, they will help any woman or girl, no matter the circumstances of your past.

                                Take peace.

                                    Ruth,

Did you just find out that you are pregnant? And you don’t know how to tell anyone and feel scared and alone? Forgetting about a positive pregnancy result will not make it go away. Neither will abortion. There are many physical and emotional consequences to abortion (read the stories posted on this site). It is not as simple of a solution as it seems on the surface. You are not alone. There are many people on this site (including me) who care very much and are willing to talk and listen whenever you need someone to talk to. I know that when I faced a couple of pregnancy scares as a teenager I felt terrified about the prospects of telling my parents. Hopefully your parents will be more supportive than you might think (some aren’t). If not, would your b/f or his family be supportive? What about other of your relatives – grandparents? Aunts/uncles? older siblings? If you belong to a church your pastor of minister might be able to help with support. Also you could contact Birthright or a crisis pregnancy center and they could help you find financial and emotional support through this tough time. Hang in there.

                                    Kate
