Hello..
A couple days ago I took a home pregnancy test, and it came out positive with a slightly faint line.
However, last month.. the exact thing happened to me.. so here I am thinking I am pregnant.. then BAM! 3 days later I had my period. I went to the doctors to take a urine test and they said it was "borderline-positive", and she mentioned that that mean either it was too early to tell.. or that I had a miscarriage. So, I am assuming that since I had my period a few days later.. that I had a miscarriage. *This was last month by the way*
Now, to bring you up to date, I took another one this month, and it came out positive. My question is.. to the ladies who are/have been pregnant.. is if you’ve experienced all the symptoms? I am kind of leaning towards the possibility that I AM pregnant.. there are a couple things I noticed this month that didn’t happen last month.. for the past week and a half.. I have been cramping quite often.. then up until about 2 days ago it completely stopped.. then yesterday.. I started to feel these kind of sharp pains in my lower abdomen.. right in the middle. I’ve also had some uterine cramps that were kind of unusual.
Another thing that was kind of strange.. I just looked in the mirror and it seems as if my upper body’s veins are more evident.. which is quite strange because whenever I take a blood test, the nurse has the HARDEST time trying to locate my veins.. but right now they’re staring right back at me.. not grossly evident.. but evident to me.
The strange thing is.. that my breasts aren’t really that sensitive right now.. I mean, they feel normal. They’re not really tender or anything like that… just normal. I haven’t really been urinating that frequently like most girls obviously are at this point. I’m also not experiencing morning sickness.. I mean.. I may guess a little nauseous here and there.. but nothing crazy.. and maybe it’s normal to feel a little nauseous every now and then?
Not having all the symptoms made me question if I really am pregnant or maybe I had another miscarriage like last month? Is that possible?
By the way.. I can’t go to the doctors until August.. that’s when my medical starts up again… so I guess I’m in kind of a rut until then.
Sorry for such a long post ladies.. but please, give me your feedback 🙂 It will be greatly appreciated.
Oh, I’m also 20 yrs old.. and my cycle runs around 34 days.. but I’ve also known to go about a month 10 days. The first day of my last cycle was May 23, 2005 and it is now July 3, 2005. So I am somewhat late.. but that’s not out of the ordinary.
July 4, 2005 at 10:09 pm #8673Anonymoushi. when i was pregnant with my son i had no syptoms at all untill i was 14weeks pregnant, i also didnt get a positive pregnancy test untill then either. with my current pregnancy i had cramping, sore breasts and morning sickness from about week 2. when i was prgnant with my son but couldnt get a positive result i did no i was pregnant, so listen to your heart, if you think your pregnant and youve got a positive result (faint line is still a line i’m affraid!!) then you probably are, take your vitamins and take care of yourself just to be on the safe side!! take car, let us no the final result!!!
July 5, 2005 at 6:45 am #8683JBurks7819I would go to a free clinic and get another test performed so you can find out what really is going on. most likely the bleeding that you saw was implantation bleeding. how long did the bleeding last? if the pains get to bad i wouls go to the ER.

hello, it realy sounds to me like you are pregnant i had the same crampy feelings with my first pregnancy i went to the hospital and they did all the urine tests and stuff and told me no i wasnt pregnant and sent me home, i was still like 10 days late so i went to the local doctor and got a blood test which turned out to be positive, i asked him what the cramps were and he said it was the embyo or wateva they call it  planting its self. sometimes with the home pregnancy tests they dont always work cuz with my first the home tests didnt show up positive untill i was 4 montsh along (i wanted to take a photo of the test and put it in her baby book), so good luck i hope this makes sense for you, try not to stress and good luck,
sarahJuly 8, 2005 at 7:02 am #8733Anonymousi didn’t know i was pregnant until 2 months into my pregnancy. and i experienced what you are experincing… cramps, nausea, visible veins, spotting (which i thought was a VERY light period). I also had migraine headaches and vomiting and food aversions. I thought it was food poisoning that would not go away. My boyfriend practically forced me to go to the dr because i was sick alot. I tested positive for pregnancy. If I was you I would just try to be very healthy for this month until you can go back to the dr next month. I didn’t expect i was pregnant and made some bad choices for my first two months that i regret now. (luckily they said as far as they can tell my baby is healthy). So just take care of yourself and treat your body as if you are caring for your unborn child until you know for sure! Try not to stress out and hope everything works out for the best!!!
July 8, 2005 at 8:59 am #8734AnonymousDo people look at you and tell you that you are glowing? If so that is one sign of being pregnant.
July 9, 2005 at 2:07 am #8746AnonymousIt is okay to feel worried, about this. Your life will change forever, I have two children already and I believe that I’m pregnant again, I’m forever starving, my belly has gotten bigger, and I have been bleeding for a week but never heavy, so anything is possible. Congratulations and I hope you have a wonderful experience as a mother! :woohoo:

August 1, 2005 at 7:34 pm #8943AnonymousWell ladies, here is my take on the situation. You could be pregnant, or if you had a miscarriage, the pregnancy test may not be reading correctly. Depending on how far you were along, it takes a little bit for your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels to go back down. So a positive preg test soon after a miscarriage may very well be a false result. Also, some women continue to experience pregnancy symptoms even after a miscarriage. It’s best to go to a doctor for a followup visit about 6 weeks after a miscarriage that way they can tell you whether or not your hCG levels have returned to normal. You can get alot of information from searching the internet too.
August 10, 2005 at 11:32 am #9004AnonymousHave you found out yet if you are pregnant or not? My experience goes like this…in February, I finished out my pack of bc pills and then that was it for me. I had my last normal period from the bc pills and then it was 41 days before my next one. We didn’t use protection b/c I’ve been told that it takes several months for your body to adjust after coming off the pill. Well, the following month, I waited and waited for my period. I kept thinking it was going to come b/c I was feeling the PMS cramps for a couple of weeks. Well, 41, 42, 43 days went by. I was feeling really naseated at night, but still didn’t think anything of it. Finally, I took a test and it was positive. By that time, I was 4 weeks along. It wasn’t until after I took the test that my breasts got tender and bigger. So, based on what you said, it sure sounds to me like you could be pregnant. I went to a clinic and just paid $5 for a urine pregnancy test. You could find something like that to confirm…
Good luck! 🙂August 15, 2005 at 12:02 am #9041AnonymousSounds like u are pregnant. Usually the positive test is a dead giveaway
I just found out that I’m pregnant too . Lately I’ve been cramping like crazy and i heard that’s perfectly normal at first –if feels like i should be on my period but i’m not.
I feel kinda sick a lot but nothing too severe (some women never get sick, lucky them!)
As for your veins, i think that’s normal too… i hear that when you’re pregnant your heart starts beating faster and your circulate a lot more blood. Also, my breasts don’t feel tender yet either though my hubby says he thinks they are already swelling B)
Just remember, NOTHING is unusual when your pregnant, at least that’s what I gather. And for every woman it’s slightly different
