need some advice – pregnant?

I am 24 and married. I have been taking birth control for about a year and half now. My husband and I aren’t quite ready for a child just yet, however, I am not sure if I may be pregnant.

Please advise: Ever since I went on the pill my period became lighter than usual. My period would usually last about two to three days with bleeding. the past two months my period just bleeds maybe a few drops (hardly anything at all) in a course of a day or two, usually only a day, 12 hours. Does anybody know if this is normal for a period to eventually just stop while on birth control pills for a long period of time.
