January 1, 2009 at 7:47 pm #23631Evangeline>>>HUGS<<< and welcome to SUG. I'm so very sorry that yr feeling this way, you must remember that yr a strong, brave young woman that has made an enormous and life changing decision... YOU CAN HANDLE ANYTHING:) I think your daughter would be better off with one parent who loves her unconditionally than have a second parent who doesn't really want to be there and floats in and out of her life. I wish you the very best of luck and hope that you'll keep us posted on both your and baby's progress. Take care. Peace and Light, Evangeline.

January 2, 2009 at 10:07 am #23634AnonymousI’m right where you are. I’m 15 and just about 38 weeks, now. Luckily, the father is very supportive, as is my family. But let me tell you this: if he isn’t man enough to stay with you and support you, do you really want your child to have him as a father figure? Anyone can be a biological father, but it takes a certain man to be a daddy.
We ALL get fears that we can’t do this. I know that I do. It’s so scary to think about the unknown futures that we all have. But you CAN do this. You’ve already made the wonderful choice to keep your daughter. It will be lots of work, but so worth this challenge! The greatest job in life is motherhood. These feelings will pass when your daughter is in your arms. You’ve accomplished so much already.
Please, I’d love to hear more from you. π Sign my guest book or e-mail me as you wish.
January 2, 2009 at 7:19 pm #23646kez_mummy_2_skyeYour baby has YOU and thats what matters. You have given her a life already and kudos to you for doing that!
It wont be long til you meet. You will meet a man and be happy. A baby needs love not all the luxurious things in life.January 3, 2009 at 7:27 am #23649emeraldforestmyheartbroIm so proud of you for deciding to keep your baby π Things will be tough but you will make it. There are plenty of single mom’s with children who lead happy lives. My best of luck to you hun. Keep us updated!
January 3, 2009 at 7:00 pm #23650jessey223I think you are a very brave and honorable young women. You put the needs of your child before yours and that is a big part of being a mommy. You can and will do it. Good news is if the father is not around much your child will not know what they are missing. I think kids are more shaken up when parents are together and then split and the kids remember how life use to be. Being a mommy at any age is a change and not the easiest thing in the world however I believe it is the most rewarding. I wish you the best of luck and I am here to talk anytime. Jessica
January 6, 2009 at 5:00 am #23679breathlessHey girl! Don’t sweat it, I was fifteen when I got pregnant and..well, go to my profile and check out my old posts! I was feeling the same way as you! I was so scared, I felt completely alone, I had no idea what I was going to do! But that baby came out and now he’s a 14 month old terror of nature! Haha just kidding. But really, he’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me in my life and everyday I just gaze at him and say “I love you” with all my heart. I’m not going to kid you, motherhood is HARD but ask ANY mom of any age and they will say the same thing. Raising children is a challenge! The only difference is we young mom’s sometimes face a few more challenges but that does not affect our ability to be great moms! As for MIA dad, and I’m sure a lot of girls will say this to you, it is way more important to have one parent that loves you more than anything then to have a Dad who could care less! Good luck and feel free to write me anytime!
