I AM 17 YEARS OLD, I’M ABOUT TO BE A SENIOR AS SOON AS SCHOOL STARTS. MY BABY IS DUE OCTOBER 27TH AND I FEEL LIKE I WONT BE ABLE TO FINISH HIGH SCHOOL! I MEAN SURE I CAN GO TO SCHOOL FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS BUT I WON’T RECIEVE ANY CREDITS FOR ANYTHING SO THAT WOULD BE LIKE A WAIST OF TIME. DOES ANY ONE OUT THERE KNOW WHAT I CAN DO TO GET MY STUFF TOGETHER? OH AND I KNOW THAT SOME SCHOOLS HAVE DAY CARE, BUT NO ONE BABY SITS NEWBORNS AND ON TOP OF THAT I DON’T WANT TO PUT MY SENIOR YEAR ON HOLD! IN OTHER WORDS I DON’T WANNA BE 20 YEARS OLD STILL TRYING TO MAKE IT THROUGH 12TH GRADE.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE?!!!!?!!!

you can go to night school, i think they let you bring your baby with you. and you can still graduate on time, but your’re gonna have to take a lil time off b/c goin back too early can put alotta strain on you and its not good for the baby to be out of your home too early b/c they’ll get sick or get cholic, which will drive you insane! just stay focused on your goal and really concider going to a school with a day care.

I got pregnant my junior year of high school and I went to an alternative HS after that so I could finish on time and I actually finished early. Check with the counselors at your school and see if they have any ideas for you. They will probably be able to point you in the right direction. I hope this helps! And don’t get discouraged–you can do it! Keep us updated.

I went to a school in DC and they allow my friends we babies was due while we were in school to have home school. then once there 6 weeks was up the allow them to come back to school and gave them credit for it. But my friends went to night school and took there babies with them all the DC schools that are high school allow that.

So i think that you should talk to the principle and see what they can offer you while you are on bed rest or takin care of your child
