I found out I was pregnant in October of last year, I was 17. The first thing the dad said was that he would work it out for his best friend to go with me to have it taken care of. I didn’t want that but he was still trying to reason me into doing it. I’d already lost two so neither of us were sure if my body would even carry this baby full term. One of the things he said was that it would be easier on me to have it "taken care of" than if I lost it. (The it I now Know is a boy and He will be here on the 22nd of July) I argued that it would be harder for me if I had the procedure done because there would always be ifs about him.

I chose life for my son but I also knew that I couldn’t give him the life he deserves so along with that decision, I’ve found an amazing adoptive family who share all of my same religious and family values. They are not able to have kids so this is an amazing blessing for them. They want this adoption to be as open or closed as I want. I can see the baby as much as I want, even when he’s older, and he will know that I am his birth-mom. There are so few babies out there for adoption and some couples will wait years to find a child. So many girls don’t choose life because they are afraid or don’t want the responsibility but if they chose life adoption is an amazing gift for couples like the one I’ve chosen. I’m not blaming those girls or pointing fingers I promise… I’m just throwing the option of adoption out there for thought.

I am so excited to watch him grow and bond with his mommy and his daddy, but I’m also jealous that they get the joy of raising my only baby that has made it to term.

Good Luck Girls!!! Trust God cause His plan is absolutely perfect and if you trust Him, He will get you through everything! Love you guys!!!

Wow! I am really impressed! 🙂 You are the best kind of Mom because you are willing to do what is best for your baby and not just you!
God has really blessed you to have been able to find a family that shares your religious beliefs and family values!
I will be praying for you and for your baby! 🙂

Thanks so much for posting that!
Adoption is an incredible gift and such a blessing for the adoptive parents who cannot have children of their own.
Just as birthmothers struggle with unplanned pregnancies and the difficult time it can be, adoptive parents have typically struggled through YEARS of infertility, miscarriage, failed attempts at IVF, etc. I know people who have gone through ten years of infertility before finally getting pregnant or adopting.
