I am currently 8 weeks pregnant, had my first ultrasound today. Saw my baby, heard the heart beat. I have been thinking about my choices being a mother, abortion, or adoption.
I originally planned on the abortion, now i don’t know. I am only 19, and not ready for a kid. I cannot support the baby. I have no health insurance, i am just lost. So should i feel completely horrible about giving my baby up when i know its the right decision?

If you don’t think that you can support the baby, adoption is the best and most loving thing that you can do.
If you decide on adoption it will be hard, but it will be worth it to know that you gave your baby life instead of killing it.
Sometimes you can find an adoptive family that is willing for you to stay with them while you are pregnant and for a little while after you have the baby. That would give you a chance to get to know them and really decide if they are the best family for your baby.
Let us know what you decide, ok? Hugs!

You can do anything you put your mind to. You can go onto Medicaid if you have to for health insurance. And if you want to raise a baby you are more than capable at 19 years old. I wish you the best of luck in whatever you decide to do. Jessica

            Hi there.

Whatever you feel is best is the right decision. Adoption will be very difficult, but you can do it if you don’t think that you’re able to support the baby. Now, if you decide to keep your baby and raise him/her yourself, you are in for a ride of emotions and doubt- but you CAN do it! You love your unborn child and that’s all you need in order to be a good parent.

I’m only 15 and about to have a little boy. I’m terrified of the coming years, but I know that my little man will be raised by two loving parents and four loving grandparents. It is possible to have your baby and you won’t ever regret your choice.

PLEASE feel free to sign my guestbook anytime. I’d love to help you through this.

Im in pretty much the same boat as you.
              nineteen and preggers.

But ill try my best to give you some advice on this….heck it may even help ME see what i need to do.
              🙂

I guess you could weigh out your pros and cons on paper. and really ask yourself if your ready to parent. Not just the happy times but the hard times too. can you see yourself waking up multipule times in the middle of the night to fend to your babys every need? its hard to think that your no longer important and the baby is. I dont think people realize how much of a blessing babies are…and also how much of a hassle. Its a beautiful hassle, but a hassle nothenless. Babies take a lot of time. Alot of money. And a lot of energy, and it doesnt get any easier as they grow. Thats why i have such respect for mommas! 🙂
I also went online and looked up how much a baby costs (dont forget hospital bills). asked a few girls (around my age) who have children what it was really like…not just the daisy and roses part of raising children. I beleive every woman who has a child will love that child unconditionaly, but I have come to realize that almost every young mother i talked to told me if they could have that same child later in their life, they would have waited. Even my own mother told me that.

I guess it really depends on what you are trying to accomplish in your life. I know youll make the best decision for yourself. And if you do let me know what it is! 🙂

              I promise myself

There is two choices – 1: Adoption 2: Abortion 3: Keep the baby… Yeah I know I mentioned three but abortion is not a choice… Its an option wich should not be considered. I would personally never be able to give my baby away if I had one, but I guess we all feel different – before taking a live rather sit AND think, there are alot of good homes for babies who are given up – you should think about the future and how this will affect you in the long run, just make sure of what you want to do and be sure it won´t be a burden to carry for the rest of your life… Hope you make the right decission
