Hi my name is Jessica I’m new to Standupgirl.com. I recently went to the Health Department on Thursday because I ran out of birthcontrol and plus it was my yearly check up PAP test. I told the lady before they did the PAP that there was a significant chance I may be pregnant. Since I ran out of birth control 2 weeks before my appt I had sex twice using the good ol’ pull out method. The lady asked me if we had used any form of protection and I answered her honestly and told her no. She said that she couldn’t give the the PAP and that I’d have to wait it out. She said that after being off of birth control for so long there is a good chance of conception. But what gets me is I’ve been having sex with the same guy for 2 years and I’m currently 16 he’s 17. And I never got pregnant before & the first year we didn’t use any type of protection what-so-ever. So actually I believe I can’t get pregnant. I know it’s sad, but I believe that. Do you think I may be pregnant. I mean the only different thing I’ve noticed is mood swings, and tenderness in breasts, also I’ve been ejecting some clear fluid and I don’t know what it is. It’s never done that before. Please help me. If I am I intend on being the best mother I can be. I’ll be excited yet scared. The lady at the Health Department told me that it all depends on the person and she thinks I may be. Please help me I’ll greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Love Always,
Jessica

Please help me asap. :S I really want to know what you think, the lady at the health department said It’d be to early for it to show up on a home pregnancy test…

Withdrawal can slightly reduce chances of getting pregnant, but by no means is it completely effective. If you hadn’t been taking your birth control pills then it could be possible. I’m surprised that the health clinic didn’t give you a pregnancy test. Did the nurse give any specific reasons regarding symptoms that would indicate you might be pregnant? If you haven’t had a pregnancy test I would take one to find out for sure. If it is negative I would use this as a lesson that you could get pregnant in the future under these circumstances. Best wishes and good luck.

You could be pregnant. I think that you should wait until your period is due and if it doesn’t come, then take a test, because by then you will be far enough along for the test to pick it up. I felt like you when I first got pregnant, so, find out, and good luck.
