So I just found out that I’m 8 weeks pregnant and I’m so excited (even though I’m 18). But, now that my parents know, I have to find a way to tackle telling my boyfriend and the baby’s daddy (not the same person). I don’t know how to go about this.

When the baby was conceived, my now-boyfriend and I were on a break. I hooked up with the baby’s daddy a couple times during this break, but now we don’t even talk. How should I tell him? Who should I tell first?

Somebody please help! I don’t know what to do!

        Hi! Welcome to the site.
I’m glad that you have already told your parents! That’s usually the worst. 😉

There are lots of ways that you could tell your boyfriend and the baby’s daddy. (You are sure that your boyfriend isn’t the daddy, right?)
If you don’t talk to the daddy now, you could always write him a letter or leave a message on his phone or something.
I would say don’t worry about who to tell first, just tell your boyfriend when the opportunity presents itself (make sure that he’s not in a rotten mood at the time).
No matter how you tell them you will feel better when they both know.
        Good luck hun!

            Hey everyone.

I told my boyfriend last wednesday…and he broke up with me. 🙁 He said that I shouldn’tve messed around with that kid and that he didn’t want to be any part of such a “big mistake”. He and I weren’t even dating when the baby was conceived.

I am meeting with the baby’s daddy tonight to tell him and talk to him about what to do. The baby is 10 weeks and 2 days old today. I have no idea how he’ll react…hopefully better than my (ex)boyfriend. :-/ keep me and the baby in your prayers!

              Hello Tina,
I’m sorry to hear about your boyfriend breaking up with you. He’s reacting to the news, but that doesn’t mean the breakup is final. He may change heart, but regardless of the men’s decisions, you need to consider yourself and the care of your baby. A life was created and you should start planning on seeing a doctor if you haven’t already. Talk to someone close to you, a parent, aunt, cousin, or even a close friend and confide in them. Think about what YOU want to do now for yourself and the baby…and keep heading in that direction.

It’s easy to want to procrastinate and not do anything because the people who you want to play a part in this have other ideas and chose another path. They will have to answer for their actions later and may live to regret them.

Your baby, however, continues to grow and requires nourishment from you. You need a lot of rest and all those horrid green vegies for brain development for the baby. GREEN VEGGIES, repeat after me….GREEN VEGGIES!! The doctor will prescribe you an iron supplement, and your prenatal vitamin which covers all the rest you miss in your meals.
You can look into all the beautiful videos and photo galleries on this website and the 3D imagery of a 10-11 week fetus. Educate yourself on what is happening to your baby right this minute and what to expect with your growing body.

I will pray for you and your baby, without you even asking me to.
              God bless,
              myangelsinheaven

Aw, hun! I’m so sorry to hear that your bf took the news so badly!
How did it go talking to the baby’s daddy?

I hope that everything works out!

Thank you so much for the replies. I went to my first doctor’s appointment where they gave me (nasty) prenatal vitamins. They say that baby is looking healthy. My mom went too, and she cried when they did the first ultrasound.

The baby’s daddy and I had a talk and we both decided that we’d like to keep the baby. Our parents have OK’d it (even tho he and I are both 18) and have given their support for us. We don’t want to jump into dating, but have decided to consider it. We both want what’s best for our baby. He kissed my stomach yesterday and said “This is your daddy. I can’t wait to meet you.” It was so cute (:

Thank you for the advice, again. I’ll keep you updated!
