I just found out that I am pregnant. I am 17 and I am anti abortion. My boyfriend is supportive and wants the baby but at the same time disappears occasionally. Im getting ready for the inevitable. Im also trying to figure out how to tell my mom. Ive been accepted to college and I want to do whats in the best interest for my baby but idk where to start. I need advice on where to go from here.:(

Okay, first of all… if your boyfriend is not 100% there, leave now. I PROMISE that it will be best for you. Don’t let your feelings get in the way! It’s so much easier when they’re gone while you’re pregnant than afterward… trust me. I’m going through that right now.

Secondly, be sure to talk to your parents ASAP. They love you and will support you with your decisions, no matter. I commend you on the choice not to abort! I am only 15 years old and I have a 4 month old son. I take all honors, as well. It’s so hard, I’m not going to lie, but his smile is the most amazing thing. Anything he does can cheer me up. That’s what a baby is. A baby is just… joy. Hard work and rewards. I think that you can handle this, you just have to be strong.

If you really are considering adoption, then you can look up on the internet some adoption agencies in your state and they can set you up for an interview, find parents, etc.

My advice would be to follow your heart. When this storm has passed and the decision whatever it may be is made you and only you are going to have to live with it. If you honestly think putting the baby up for adoption will work out for you in the long run, all power to you there are a lot of women out there that are unable to have children and your child would be a blessing to them. But some moms may not be able to handle the thought of actually giving the baby up. You and only you can answer that question. I wish you all the luck in the world and I am here anytime to chat. First of all, I pray for your strength as I didnt have it and had an abortion and now regret it daily. If you’re not ready to parent, its ok. you have to look closely but adoption is a great option My cousin is an adoptive mom so I see the other side. She has a great daughter and the tummy mommy (that’s what they call the baby’s mama) sees her often. She’s adopting again. I know tons of folks who dont think adoptin is cool but I see it first hand. Its amazing and you get to see your baby. I’ll never see my baby because I didnt give it a chance. Stay strong. I’ll pray for you.
