confusion

Hey everyone,
I have a friend whose going through the same thing I am sort of and we both have a similar problem. Hers is a little more peculiar and what I’m wondering about today. She Is showing a lot of symptoms, some normal, some very not normal and pointing to pregnancy. She was getting very nauseous, and her breasts have been very sore and she said she’s spotting. Spotting for both of us is very rare. She took a test and it came negative and someone told her that you won’t show any of these symptoms of pregnancy unless the test shows positive and that she was faking it. Is this true?
