I am in my junior year in the philipinnes and i am planning to go to college. The college i want to go to is in washington but my son is currently in ohio and if i go to college that is where hell hav to stay because I wont be able to take care of him alone.I feel so bad but that colege has my proposed major.I feel like I should change it so i can go to a college that is closer. Also if i am away from him for so long he might not like me and he wont want to stay with me.I do not know what to do.My guidance counselor is no help because she doesnt like me.any help would be greatly apreciated.

Being so young I really think you should go to collage to make a better living for you and your son. You may want to rethink about your major your son will never hate you. Just do what you think is best for you and your son even if that means changing a few of your plans in life. I hope this helped a little. Good luck.

Hi! I Understand where you are coming from and your sitaution. I am a college student also. This is my 3rd year. When I got pregnant and decided to keep the baby, I knew I would have to make some sacrafices and the school that I was previously going to just wasnt a option for me anymore. I decided that I would make the best decision for me and my son. I moved back home to atlanta and transferred to a college here(as much as I didnt want to come back home). You should definently stay in school. I think you should change your major. I know how hard that is to do though(if you are already in college then you would loose alot of credits) What would you like to major in?

follow your heart and do what you think is right… and if that end with you staying in washington to go to school… then that is what you do… you will know when the time comes what the right decision is… and no matter what if you love you son then he will always love you too… i really hope that helps…

yeah, im a sophmore in high school, im supposed to be graduating this year which is kinda sad, i was immature and stupid and neveer wanted to go to my classes so i stayed back not once but twice!! i thought about giving up and just getting my GED and going to college but then i thought about it alot and changed my mind. I’m almost 5 months pregnant so i understand where your coming from. I really want the best for my baby so im going to do whatever i can!!

its good that you want to further your education but i would try to get in somewhere that you can still have close contact with your son. I couldnt be away from my kids for a day let alone months. It would be hard to miss all of his milestones etc
