      Hi all,
I haven’t been on this site since about last september. With everything that was going on, i needed time off.
I didn’t end up having my second child adopted. She was looked after by somebody else for 3 months, but i did visit, and took the time i needed to work through things. I had PND which is truly horrible, but once things started to get a bit better on that front, i felt more able to be a mother.
Now, my oldest daughter is turning 2 next month. It feels just yesterday that i was finding this site, terrified, not knowing what was going to happen in the coming months and having conflicted opinions thrown at me. I found out i was pregnant with my second child when Jess was 4 months old. I was shocked. I was on the pill, but did have this ‘feeling’ that i was pregnant, and tested positive pretty early. That was about the only thing that was early with her – she liked being in utero so much she stayed up there 11 extra days making a speedy entrance at home on my birthday last july.
I still don’t feel like I can talk to a forum about what i went through following her birth, but for those of you that have had PND, you may have some understanding that it is by no means fun.
Fastforward to now… Jess is a happy healthy still red haired almost 2 yr old toddler. Super active with a slight addiction to ‘shaun the sheep’. ALyssa, (lissy) is a very porky 10 and a bit months old. She has 2 teeth which she only got around to growing last month so a bit slow in that dept. They keep me very busy. Me…well in january this year i found out the best news i had in a long time. I had been offered a place to study midwifery at uni – the same uni i was studying archaeology at before jess was born. I am almost one semester in and absolutely loving it. Its hard, but so rewarding. Especially when the women i am following through (going to their antenatal appts, the birth and postnatal appts with them) have their babies. Birth is truly an amazing thing, and i feel priviledged to be able to work towards a career as a midwife.
I will try to get on here once in a while, but feel free to email me if you like – i think there is an email option on my profile.

        Hi Kylie,

Thank you for coming back and sharing your updated story with your beautiful family.

I’m fairly new to the site as well and am here to share my experiences as a mother, (of 7 to be exact) and an adament supporter of LIFE!!

I feel that by sharing our stories and giving support to oneanother, we may be able to bring about a new understanding for young girls and women of all ages. An understanding of how strong they truly are and with the right information they can demonstrate their abilities to be mothers. You have demonstrated that by your determination to make it work and at all costs…..to give your baby life!! You are now savouring the beauty and innocence of your baby, you’re learning to be a healthy mommy and your 2yr old little girl is experiencing being a big sister. All thanks to your courage.

        I am truly touched!!
If you need anything please don’t hesitate to ask.

        Many blessings,
        myangelsinheaven

I am so excited for you!!! As for the PND, is that what you call post partum depression there? If so then I can relate to why you have been gone for so long, I had it REALLY bad myself and I shut down for a while myself!! I am so glad that you are going to be a midwife, after all you have been through it twice now and have had two way different pregnancies and can relate to your patients!! I hope you come around more often I miss you!! Talk to you soon…Meg

Yay! So glad you’re back 🙂 I had to make a whole new profile, because I was off of here so long and forget the password. But now we are reunited 😉
Gosh I remember being pregnant and writing with you. It’s great hearing that you are doing so good! Life takes it’s turns. What seems hard and difficult can turn into something awesome.

Hope to hear from you soon!!
