okay so i’m 17 years old (i’ll be 18 in 2 months) i went to the OBGYN for an annual checkup & i told the girl there that i was late on my period so she gave me a pregnancy test & it came out positive she told me i’m about 3 or 4 weeks pregnant….i’m so scared & i really don’t know what to do. i cant stop thinking about how my parents are gonna freak out..i’ve been stressing out soo much.. I need to tell my parents but i keep putting it off. When i told my boyfriend he said he would support any desicion i make…and after thinking about it alot i’ve decided i really can’t have a baby right now..as much as i would want to =( so i was thinking of abortion but i dont think i could go through with it…i really need advice on what to do and how to tell my parents!!! please help… 🙁

when I found out that I was pg, all I could think of was "oh my gosh, my dad and grandma are gonna know I had sex!"

My mom knew because she was with me when I tested. My bf was really mad and scared and his mom hated me.

You are really fortunate though to have a bf that isn’t pushing for an abortion. If he says that he’ll support you in "whatever" decision you make, that sound to me like he’s pretty ok with you having a baby.

I agree. I’m 16 and my son is 8 months old and my babys daddy told me to get an abortion so…be glad you have support and remember, it’s not the babys fault.

Remember that there is always adoption, and you could do an open adoption that would allow you to see your baby still. I don’t believe that abortion is ever the solution. I know it is hard to tell your parents, I was so chicken, I had my doctor tell her. I don’t recommend this method.

Perhaps try writing a letter to your parents and in it express whether or not you think abortion is an option. At least then they will know your stance on it before any pushing is able to be done. Since I don’t know your parents, I don’t know if that would be the case, and I mean no disrespect to them.

I really don’t recommend abortion for even the simple fact that many women regret it for years and sometimes for the rest of their life. If you read some of the abortion posts here in other forums, you will see what I mean.

I pray that the Lord give you guidance in what to do and how to tell your parents about it all.

            God Bless.

ok well… look girl, you have a bf thats supports you…ok is true that it is going to be a huge shock for your parents…but belive me you DON’T wanna go trough the abortion…i had one…’cause i thought that that was my only chance…but babe, it is going to be hard to have a baby, but it is going to be even harder to abort… maby in the begining you will feel ok, but then you will wish the whole time that you could turn back time and keep the baby…

I hope you have decided against the abortion, there are so many loving couples out there that can’t have children and want them and would do anything for them. I know, I am one of those people. I am a 32 year old mother of a 10 year old girl who wants more than anything to have another child but can’t due to complications with her birth.

I will pray for you and all the girls out there in your situation! God Gless.

I know you said that you can’t consider adoption because you put yourself in this position but adoption shows a lot of maturity. It shows that you thought about this baby and what is best for it. It shows that you are a loving person who wants to see it get the love and attention it needs while you get the attention and care you need such as finishing school, going to college, getting a career and being able to support yourself independently and then one day find the right man and marry and have children when you are ready to relationship wise and financially.

                  God Bless,
