I am 27 years old and just shy of my Associates degree in college. I have been dating this guy for almost 2 years and I found myself to be prego on Aug 30th. Ever since I found out he has been down my throat about abortion and making stupid comments towards it also. I told him it was my decision and mine only. Honestly I would love to get married and start a family, but my health has been bad for a year now. I have been in and out of the doctors poked and prodded. All tests have came back normal and they have though I had Chrons, lupas, ulcertive colitis the list goes on. So far the diagnosis is Chronic Nausea. Go Figure. When I found out I was prego I stopped all meds because they were bad for the baby. I got super super sick and have been that way since. I thought long and hard about keeping it and I really wanted to but with no support system (boyfriend) then I can’t graduate and succeed right now on my own with my sickness. I told my boyfriend my decision and it is like it made his whole life. Thanking me for my decision are you kidding me? I am tore up over this and he has no idea. I have been down in the dumps and just lost lately. I think no matter what decision I make I will have regrets, but for sure this one is going to change me for the rest of my life. I am just praying I have the strength to pull myself out of this hole. ๐ Any input would help I guess just mainly needed to vent somewhere. Thanks for listening.

Im sorry you feel so torn between this decision, yes your health issues are a concern but the doctors are very talented in handling all medical issues while you are pregnant. So i dont believe that is a reason to abort your baby. Just because it might make your boyfriend happy as well isnt a good one either. There are places around my state that help out pregnant woman who need finacial help , as you mentioned not being stable. There also is WIC available which helps with food.Go to a pregnancy resource center in your area and they can help you out a lot!:) I do not believe you would ever have a regret having your baby in your arms when you give birth! That feeling is one of a kind and amazing! Where as with an abortion you will always regret the “what if” all the time.It will constantly be on your mind! If you truly dont believe you can support your child you can always give your baby up for adoption to a loving family who cant have children and would be extremely happy to adopt your baby! ๐ You have other options besides abortion ๐ Dont be torn up or regret having an abortion, when there are other options! ๐ things that can either help you keep your precious bundle of joy , or be able to give baby to a loving home! Please call the option line for 24hr support ๐ 1800 395 HELP. or the help line 1 866 942 6466 ! ๐ Youre loved by me my friend! ๐ Im here if you need anything or just need to talk again! ๐<3 Teka! ๐
September 14, 2011 at 4:32 am #28337AshleiiHeey, my name is Ashleii. I know it’s going to be hard, there is no doubt about it, no matter what.. Being a first time mom is difficult. I am sorry to here about your sickness and illnesses as well.
I think for your situation, if you want to get married first, get your diploma, etc. first (before having a child/starting a family) adoption would be the best option.
This is just my opinion because at one point, I didn’t know what to do either.. I am only 14, going on 15 in December, still in school. And I am 30+4 weeks pregnant. We decided to keep it, and parent our son.
I feel bad for you with the pressure of your boyfriend.. I know it’s hard having you wanting one thing, and your boyfriend wanting something completely different. Because really, no matter what decision you choose, it’s going to change your life.
Just make sure you make the best decision for you! I think between parenting or adoption, and that’s my input. No matter what you choose though, you will have support and friends.
Good-luck!
And I hope everything works out soon.
