Hello my name is Min. I’m from The Netherlands and I stumbled up on this site after searching the net. I’m not pregnant, nor trying to be. I’m not sure whether this is the appropriate forum, but I’m still going to ask my question:

Where I am from, teen pregnancies are rather unheard of. And if they happen, well in most cases abortion is anwser number one. But if one of my friends, or me, got pregnant, what would advice would help me or them. Or in other words, what advice ‘helped’ you get to the point where you decided to keep your child?

I am in awe of you teenage mums! Truely. The choice that you’ve made, is amazing. And I would like to wish all of you good luck & strength! May your lifes be filled with love…

My family frowns upon unwed moms but abortion is wrong because its ending a life that is not yours to end.I was raised with that philosophy and also the pictures of aborted fetuses arejust creepy and the procedures are cruel so i could never do that to anyone.

Well, I would never have an abortion. My mother had eight and I would never go that way. Every time one of my brothers or sisters were killed, when I was old enough to know about it, Id cry.
When I fell pregnant, abortion was just not an option. I wouldnt even hear of it.
Thats just the way I decided upon it. So yeah…I guess you’ve got my simple answer lol…

in the town i am from being a teen mom is pretty much frowned upon and hidden if possible because it is a town full of "churchy" people, but i was 5months preg b4 i moved to go live with my husband so i had all the rumors and whatever going around while i was there, and i didn’t care because i would never abort or give my child up…i was the youngest of 4 children and our mom gave all of us up for adoption after she had me because she was too young to have so many babies so i’m not saying adoption is bad i just couldn’t see my baby leave me and go to someone else….and i don’t agree with aboriton for myself…besides i was preg with a baby that was unexpected but not unwanted, and i was with the daddy for over 2years when we founf out about the baby (he’s now 3months old….)…lol…now that i’ve babbled on forever…

I found out I was pregnant when I was 5 months. I am only 15 years old and had just gotten my life back on track when I found out…I had a week to decide for an abortion and it would be a painful three day process, 3 days knowing that I was murdering my unborn child. When I found out the baby was perfectly healthy and even sucking his thumb in the womb I decided I could not, ever, harm my baby. I had to choose then if I wanted to put him up for adoption or keep him. I asked my boyfriend and he said that he wanted to keep him. I am now 8 months pregnant with my beautiful baby boy and his name is Odin Phineas Jasper Vickers and I wouldn’t give him up for the world. My advice would be, as scary and hard as it will be you will never regret choosing life for the beautiful baby growing inside of you.
                thanks for the support! 🙂

i loved m y daughter from the getgo as soon as i found out i was pregnant the way i see it is if ur "grown enough to open ur legs den ur "grown enough to keep the baby dont make a decsion that u cant handle the consequenses 2 if u dont want 2 get pregnant then use a condom and be on some type of birth control dat way u double ur chances of not getting pregnant

even if it is hard in raising a child, you will ALWAYS get through it, my dad brought me up and i never had the best of things but we lived. When ur child is old enough you will see what you have done and be so proud of yourself. AND probably more for those mothers that did it tougher than others that had alot of help. YOU did it!!!

I would tell you or them to maybe consider giving your baby up for adoption if you didn’t want or couldn’t afford to keep the baby. But never consider abortion. It’s a very cruel, emtionally and physically painful thing to do. From the day I got my positive home pregnancy test I loved my baby and did everything I could to take care of her.
