Nick Cannon, actor and popular singer who’s music video “Can I Live” relates so well to so many visitors to this site, is offering to help young women raising children on their own. He’s so proud of his own mother for giving him life, he wants to encourage other young women as well…
“Hey y’all It’s Nick,
Thank you for all the support with my “Can I Live” record. It is really taking off. We are shooting the video very soon. It is going to be great! This record is extremely important to me and to our community. There are a lot of young mothers in need and have had to struggle to raise their children. I just wanted to recognize all the strong women who are raising children on their own like my mother had to do. Myself and my foundation really want to help these young women. If any of you out there know a single mother between the ages of 15-25 who may be having a difficult time, I would love to hear the story. Please write to me and explain the condition and how I could possibly help. I will check the website and respond accordingly.

Ā Ā You Seventeen huh
Ā Ā Ā And having me that will ruin everything huh
Ā Ā Ā It’s a lot of angels waiting for their wings
Ā Ā Ā You see me in your sleep so you can’t kill your dreams
Ā Ā Ā 300 Dollars that’s the price of living what?
Ā Ā Ā Mommy I don’t like this clinic
Ā Ā Ā Hopefully, you’ll make the right decision
Ā Ā Ā And don’t go through with the Knife Decision
Ā Ā Ā But it’s hard to make the right move
Ā Ā Ā When you in high school
Ā Ā Ā How you have to work all day and take night school
Ā Ā Ā Hopping off da bus when the rain is pouring
Ā Ā Ā What you want morning sickness or the sickness of mourning
Ā Ā Talking Ma
Ā Ā I know the Situation is Personal
Ā Ā But it something that has to be told
Ā Ā As I was making this beat
Ā Ā You was all I could think about you heard my voice
Ā Ā Yeah Just think Just Think
Ā Ā What if you could Just
Ā Ā Just blink yourself away..
Ā Ā Just Just wait just pause for a second
Ā Ā Let me plead my case
Ā Ā It’s the late 70’s Huh
Ā Ā You Seventeen huh
Ā Ā And having me that will ruin everything huh
Ā Ā It’s a lot of angels waiting for their wings
Ā You see me in your sleep so you cant kill your dreams
Ā 300 Dollars that’s the price of living what?
Ā Mommy, I don’t like this clinic
Ā Hopefully you’ll make the right decision
Ā And don’t go through with the Knife Decision
Ā But it’s hard to make the right move
Ā When you in high school
Ā How you have to work all day and take night school
Ā Hopping off da bus when the rain is pouring
Ā What you want morning sickness or the sickness of mourning
Ā I Will Always Be a part of you
Ā Trust Your Soul Know it’s always true
Ā If I Could Talk I Would Say To You
Ā CAN I LIVE?
Ā CAN I LIVE?
Ā I Will Always Be a part of you
Ā Trust Your Soul Know it’s always true
Ā If I Could Talk I Would Say To You
Ā CAN I LIVE?
Ā CAN I LIVE?
Ā I am a child of the king
Ā Ain’t no need to go fear me
Ā And I see the flowing tears so know that you hear me
Ā When I move in your womb that’s me being scary
Ā ‘Cause who knows what my future holds
Ā Yo the truth be told you ain’t told a soul
Ā Yo you ain’t even showing I’m just 2 months old
Ā Through your clothes try to hide me deny me
Ā Went up 3 sizes
Ā Your pride got you lying saying ain’t nothing but a migraine
Ā It ain’t surprising you not trying to be in Wic food lines
Ā Your friends will look at you funny but look at you mommy
Ā That’s a life inside you look at your tummy
Ā What is becoming ma I am Oprah bound
Ā You can tell he’s a star from the Ultrasound
Ā Our Sprits Connected Doors Open Now
Ā Nothing But Love And Respect Thanks For Holding Me Down She Let Me Live…
Ā I Will Always Be a part of you
Ā Trust Your Soul Know it’s always true
Ā If I Could Talk I Would Say To You
Ā CAN I LIVE?

Ā I ain’t passing no judgement
Ā Ain’t making no decisions
Ā I am just telling ya’ll my story

Ā I love my mother for giving me life
Ā We all need to appreciate life
Ā A strong woman that had to make a sacrifice
