Congratulations! 🙂
It’s winter in the USA and my son was just born on the 12th. It’s kind of hard having a newborn in the winter because you really have to watch out for the wind if you take them outside, more so than the cold. Buy footed sleepers or wearable blankets… they’re really helpful instead of putting blankets in the crib and keeping yourself up all night. Little hats are a must, too. 🙂 Also dry skin is going to be worse due to the weather and I highly recommend Aveeno Baby lotion if they make that there. It works wonders with soothing Caden at bedtime. A humidifier is also probably needed and saline drops because colds and sinuses are a lot more common in the winter. My son was only a week old and got a bad stuffy nose and saline drops worked really well with him. Otherwise nothing is much different. Just the big idea is to look out for colds and buy sleepers to be safer and reduce the risk of SIDS.
Now I don’t have a toddler, but I know that it’ll be very important for your husband to help you with the older one as much as possible while you’re trying to recover. Just be patient and try to understand that your toddler may go through a hard period because an infant is very demanding of attention and an older one can feel left out.
Good luck!
