hey, im in a similar situation as you, im 18 and tomorrow i have my first appointment at the hospital to have an abortion, im dreading it and im hopeing that they will refuse to do the opp. You are very brave in your decision, and have shown me that its ok to not want a abortion, even though my bf, his family and mine all think i should go through with it because ‘our problems will be over’, i dont think that it really is a easy way out as lots of people think.
Tomorrow will be the first day of the rest of my life, i hope i dont regret it.

It is clear that you don’t want to have an abortion. You are going to regret it. As you know having an abortion will not solve any of your problems, it will just make them worse. I understand why your family is pressuring you to do this. It is easy to go along and be complacent but you will suffer greatly after your abortion if you aren’t a Stand Up Girl now. You know what you need to do. Stand Up for what you want. Don’t listen when they say you can’t be a mother. That is not true and there are soooooooooooooooooooooooooo many girls in this site that can testify to that. You can do it! You can Stand Up for yourself, what you want, and your future.
Here is a number you can call for help at any time 1-800-395-HELP. They have people that would love to talk with you and get you help. You can be a Stand Up Girl.February 11, 2009 at 4:50 pm #24112
Congratulations on deciding to keep your baby Emma! I hope that you are doing well!February 11, 2009 at 8:42 pm #24113
Hey – I’m Lisa and I read your e-mail and wanted to respond as quickly as I could. I hope you can read this BEFORE you take the step of abortion. Because I made that step and trust me … abortion does not make your baby go away. Your baby stays in your heart as your heart aches for years to come. Please don’t think that abortion is going to make ‘all your problems go away’ because it doesn’t. Abortion is just the beginning of problems. I can tell that you don’t want to have an abortion and that you are trying to be sweet and please your bf. But if you take a Stand for the life of your baby – you will be far happier and you will be amazed that you will see THAT will be the first day of the rest of your life with your precious little baby. Please know that I’ve been down that road and it will change you forever. Please reconsider. At least post-pone your appointment and maybe talk more before taking that horrible plunge. Please respond. OK?February 11, 2009 at 10:56 pm #24115
I’m 17 and I’m pregnant as well. I think it is very brave of you to keep your baby…I know how hard it is to make a decision like that. I’m gonna have my twins in april, so I can tell you that the hole prgnancy-thing is not as bad as I thought it would be!!! But once again…I think you’re really brave!!!
You can do it!!!

Hey Emma im glad you decided to keep your baby! My due date would of been oct 16 but a few days ago i miscarried. I wish there was something i could of done to save my baby, i miss my baby so much and i would of been almost 5 weeks, im 16 also. Please stay strong when you see your baby laugh and smile for the first time you will be glad you made the right decision!!
And Ez, please Please PLEASE do not go through with your abortion, you can ask any girl on the site who’s had one and they will tell you it was the worst decision they ever made, you will regret it forever. Have you considered adoption maybe? I know there are many couples out their unable to concieve that would gladly take in your baby. Or, my advice, is to be a Stand Up Girl and Go through with your pregnancy and keep your baby, when you see your newborn for the first time the love you will feel for it will be overwhelming, and you will know you made the right choice. Please, dont punish your unborn child for existing. I am here if you ever need to talk.

I am so happy for you ! I’m glad you’re keeping it you have the courage to do what I didnt and I regret it everyday I cry everytime I see a baby its the worst feeling ever. I knew I wanted to keep it I knew that getting an abortion wasnt right because I loved my baby and wanted to see it grow up but I gave into what everyone else wanted and I still remember wanting to turn back that day I was heading to Planned Parenthood to get an abortion. I’ll never forget it and never forget crying the whole drive home I felt so helpless so worthless and I wish you all the luck in the world its so hard being 16 and pregnant I was 2 and a half months and it was diffucult just find people close to you that you can have for support . Good luck and I hope everything turns out good for you and you have a beautiful healthy baby.February 13, 2009 at 2:29 pm #24133

Praise be to God!!!!This is what I strive to hear! You are going to be a great mommy! You made the right decision! You were just pulled back from a nightmare! My friend was 19 when she went for her abortion. The doc said to her, “Your baby has a heartbeat”, and she was out of there. He is now 2 years old and she is glad for her decision! I support you. Don’t be scared, I had natural birth. The pain is forgotten and it’s not so bad. Why do think women go on to have more children. It’s always worth it! You are a light on this forum! You just made my day, I feel like crying, actually I am crying!
People sometimes look at young pregnant girls with a frown, but sexually active young girls are not frowned at, they are told to go ahead and just use a condom. The sex was not the good thing but the baby is always the blessing! No matter what the situation! May God be with you. Hold on to Him and pray, he will comfort you like no other can and he will hear you prayers. He will take your burdens!April 25, 2009 at 11:09 am #24935
Im 17 and found out i was was 5 weeks pregnant 2 weeks ago.. i decided to keep it after struggling with the decision, i have not told anyone other then 2 friends and the baby daddy (which is Not my bf 🙁 )and i now have to tell my dad.
Since then i have gotten kicked out of high school and have goten a full time job.
I have no idea about whether i should go back to school when i take maternity leave from this job or what, i will be saving alllllooooottttt of money hoping that i will make it raising a child.
My friends tell me not to move in with my older sister (21) which has a kid as well, and to stay with my dad so it dont get taken away… although i am nervous to tell him.
What should i do? Tell my dad now, or later?
