Hey everyone:) I was just wondering, what exercises would you recommend while pregnant? Should I exercise at all? :S Ive heard that swimming is good but I was just curious what you would suggest, or what you found works best through your own experience:blush: . Thanks

hey there hun, well im 21 weeks pregnant and been
exercising since day 1. although before i got preg
i exercised everyday to.
i ran 5km just about every day up untill 12 weeks.
then i changed to low impact exercise, which was swimming
and indoor spinning. then i experienced a tear in the
placenta so the doc told me to rest for 2 weeks and
then continue exercise
and now i do pregnancy yoga and sometimes spin when im up to it.
check with your doctor. and always listen to your body
there are many types of exercise you can do while preg.
i think as long as it is not a contact sport like hockey which can
cause damage to the tummy if hit there.
hope this helps
Any light exercise like walking is good.
Swimming is also recommended and There are some water aerobics classes that have specialised classes for pregnant women. Avoid jogging or any strenuous sports unless you were already very athletic before pregnancy.. now is not the time to take up a hardcore exercise regime! There are also specialised classes in yoga and pilates!
Hope this helped!
😀
I walked my whole pregnancy and I thinks that why my labor and delivery was soooooooooooo easy. I walked about 30 minutes to an hour every day once in the morning and once in the evening. It also helped me relieve my stress. That was the only thing I really felt comfortable doing. I knew walking wouldn’t do anything but help me.
Thanks everyone:)
Light daily exercise is always wonderful for a low-risk pregnancy. Walking, swimming, maybe even light jogging… those are great ways to feel good and keep your weight at a healthy level. If you were really active before and in shape, then I say during the early months you can continue it will caution. If not, take it really slow. I was advised not to ride a bike, also. You should always check your doctor for their opinion. Good luck. 🙂
