I called him on Sunday to tell him that I was pregnant and before I could speak he broke up with me. I told him that I was pregnant and the first thing that came out of his mouth was that it wasn't his and that he wasn't going to take care of it. My heart dropped and my throat just shut down.

 I am currently doing a research paper on teen pregnancy. To read the statistics and see how many odds are against me is some what depressing. I read somewhere that babies of teen mothers are more likely to be low birth weight and unhealthy than those born to older mothers.

My Boyfriend however has spent the past two weeks being awful to me and refusing to spend time with me prefering to be with his friends in a bar somewhere, he even told me I had to choose between him and my baby,and in his own words how could I choose something that wasnt even here yet over him when Id known him two years.....

As I walked to the dorms and cried uncontrollably I tryed to form what I would say in my mind. one I got to his dorm I couldn't even knock on the door I just stood there. He rushed over to me and kept asking "what's wrong what's wrong?" Finally it came out "I'm pregnant" it was in the weakest voice, so weak that it was hard to hear. The look on his face was unforgettable.

I had been with this boy since I was 15, as parenthood changes us all this boy of 16 took a turn for the worse. I found myself a teenage mother in an abusive relationship. He sold cocaine while I collected foodstamps and welfare. |

I went to another followup appointment where they did an ultrasound and I got to see my baby for the first time, hear his heart beating inside me. It was amazing. Then he changed his mind. April 4th he came home, and I knew something was wrong. When he finally opened up, he had turned into someone I didn't know, a monster. |

I walked into the room where my boyfriend of 2 years was waiting for me. I sat down next to him, the nurse then told me that I was pregnant, my boyfriend just hugged me he didn’t know what to say. We had always talked about having a baby but we planned on waiting until we both finished school. |
